Opening a merchant type of account is quite simple. Sure enough, this type of account can be granted by any established banking institutions. In other words, almost anyone can apply for this account in any bank or service provider. And it is likely that such accounts can be granted in just a short period of time. But before you consider opening one, you should first learn about all the fees that are involved in a merchant account. There is the nuisance fee which is commonly charged when a card of declines and when there is a multiple attempt to swipe the cards. This fee is quite high most especially for repeated transactions. There is the authorization fee which may be charged to you every time you process a payment request for your buyer. Of course, there is also the statement fee. This is fee is billable on a monthly basis. The statement is a summary of all the transactions made within a month.
